Wat Pho.. again

I can already see how I could translate this
through fabric, as layers of cut out shapes
in varying weights of fabric.

It's the colours that draw me to
image, the neutral background
combined with the greens and
turquoises with a flash of
florescent yellow to brighten it up..
definitely a possible colour palette.

Wat Pho..

Wat Pho Temple, Bangkok, Thailand. (my own photographs)

Starting UNIT X..

After looking back over the Practice unit I have taken aspects from what I learnt forward into Unit X, for instance drawing. I really enjoyed the drawing side of things in the last unit and hand printing with the children's toys and feel that was where I excelled the most.
I am going to continue with the same context of fabrics for children's wear however change my concept, and I have recently been looking at images from the Wat Pho Temple in Bangkok, Thailand.
I have visited the temple myself and remember loving the colourfully tiled surfaces, and figured I would re-visit this for Unit X by looking at my old photographs of the temple...
